We got a Cabela's 15 minutes from my house now. I managed to find a parking place, and I got a bunch of ammo for my AR-15. So have a truck. Cabela's also buys my company's products, so there is that too.

I don't believe you. From everything I heard, .223 rounds don't exist in American stores; they've all been sold.

What do you sell?

I not only found .223 Remington bulk rounds in plastic Cabela's boxes, they also had 5.56 NATO in metal cans.
I'll SR20 when I get home, or SR20 when I go back to get my Cabela's points (because never enough ammo)

Oddly enough I see .223 all the time it is .22LR that I haven't seen in a few years.

Good to see you're coming back to normal.*
Fun fact: Sweden, and really Scandinavia in general, has very liberal gun laws, at least in comparison with the rest of the world. Not as liberal as in the USA, but Sweden has a higher gun ownership rate than Canada.

Like racking and organization or like inventory control and product tracking?

IC, Order Tracking, process tracking, RF Guns, and the green screens/web terminals and such.
i.e. those people who write the software to make the warehouse run.

thats very cool. Do you actually write the software? I own a contracting business and we are currently looking at starting to create an inventory system for the things we stock. We will probably be doing something EXCEL based. Any tips or things to avoid? We will likely have fewer than 500 unique items. Thanks for any advice!

It's a publicly traded company, so it's large enough that I don't have to write the software myself.
Depending on how you want to track things, and your levels of stock, you may not want to get into labelling things extensively, which is fine on a small scale, but you do want to have some kind of user interface to allow for receipts (product in) and orders (product out), along with either flat files or a database to track it.
In theory it could be done in Access, but if it were me doing it, I'd do a LAMP application and a small database. You can always do a mobile website that would let you do barcode input from a mobile phone to interact with it.

The supply is unreliable, but you can get lucky from time to time.

I would have said something about the NY SAFE law and the ridiculous restrictions on AR platform rifles, but it's not necessary at this point.

Yeah, believe me when I say that Western New York is a very red part of a very blue state. The people out here will take every opportunity you give them to blast those gun control measures. We don't like them much, but this state is run by NYC, not us.

It's the same thing I grew up with. Living in IL, but not in Chicago or Springfield.
Southern IL may as well be Kentucky.
Trust me, I feel bad for the NYSers who aren't in the sphere of NYC or Albany, because it's like a whole other state.
